Lexus at Design Miami/
This year, Lexus is joining Design Miami/ as the official automotive partner for the 2018 fair. At the event, the LF-1 Limitless Future Concept Vehicle was exhibited in an installation titled The Future is Limitless. The prototype represents new thinking applied to the premium luxury crossover space. Combining limitless possibilities with unrestrained luxury, the Lexus LF-1 Limitless concept is a showcase of technology, innovation, and the latest evolution of design at Lexus.
Lexus deepens its mission to create a better world through design with programs such as Lexus Design Award and now at this year's Design Miami/, the global forum for design. Each fair brings together the most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators and critics from around the world in celebration of design culture and commerce. Occurring alongside the Art Basel fairs in Miami, USA each December and Basel, Switzerland each June, Design Miami/ has become the premier venue for collecting, exhibiting, discussing and creating collectible design.
Like molten metal being forged into a fine Japanese sword, the lines of the Lexus LF-1 Limitless concept have the potential to shape the future of a flagship luxury crossover for Lexus. The LF-1 Limitless was displayed with a mixed reality installation, an evolution of the projection mapping designed by Japanese architect Socha Ichikawa.
I also had a chance to tour Miami with the LC 500 Sports Coupe. The Lexus Flagship Coup represents the most passionate expression of the brand’s direction.
